Future Scenarios by Astrid Roetzel

This series of four posters was designed as introductory visuals to complement the texts of the "Future Scenarios" project (https://zukunftsbilder.net) by the German Scientists For Future and other For-Future groups, providing a visual entry point to the project's detailed narratives. The texts were developed first, outlining future scenarios for life in Germany in 2040. All but one of these scenarios achieve climate goals, curb species loss, and enable a good life for all through different pathways.
Each poster distills the essence of a scenario: The role of individuals and their collaborative intentions as key differentiators. Crafted for use in print to captivate from a distance while revealing nuanced details up close, the posters use project color schemes and fonts to maintain consistency with other project outputs. These visuals transform text-heavy narratives into visual storytelling, inviting viewers to compare different futures, form their own opinions, and inspire a broad, informed debate.
