"The Arabian Oil Trade" is a data-driven exploration of Saudi Arabia’s role in global crude oil exports. Ever wondered where the oil in your car originates? This visualization takes you on a journey through trade routes, top importers, uncovering the true scale of Saudi influence in the energy sector.

I sought to simplify a complex subject crude oil movement into a visually intuitive format. The Sankey diagram was chosen for its ability to show flow and volume dynamics, while regional breakdowns add depth to the story.

From concept to execution, the goal was to create an engaging, informative, and impactful piece that bridges economics, trade, and geopolitics, a perfect blend of storytelling and data visualization.
