DNA Fractal by Max Planck School of Cognition
This piece encodes part of my DNA sequence (the first chromosome) as a Sierpiński fractal triangle. Twenty coloured triangles make up the base units corresponding to twenty distinct genotype calls. The raw data comes from a 23andMe test taken back in January 2023. In essence, the visual turns a fundamental aspect of my identity into a unique QR code of sorts. The short textual Methods section included with the piece provides more details on the data source and creative process.
