Replacing the Refs is a watchdog project by States United Action and The DataFace, tracking Election Deniers running for key government positions that oversee election administration. Through interactive maps, tables, and charts, we exposed candidates at the state and federal levels who rejected the results of the 2020 election.
With Donald Trump — an Election Denier himself — back in Oval Office, the stakes for democracy have never been higher. Replacing the Refs arms the public with critical data on the people trying to rewrite the rules of democracy from the inside.
