A multiple winner in the Information is Beautiful Awards, Moritz is pushing the envelope for creative data visualization with his studio Truth & Beauty. With a background in Cognitive Science and Interface Design, his work beautifully balances analytical and aesthetic aspects in mapping abstract and complex phenomena.

Alessandro is a data visualization designer at Accurat, an information design company based in Milan and New York. He has recently completed a M.Sc. in Design at Politecnico di Milano within DensityDesign Research Lab. Previous Gold winner with "On Their Way," 2017.

An independent data experience designer from the Netherlands, Jan creates custom data visualizations for a variety of clients, including Google, the European Space Agency, and the World Economic Forum. Previous winner in the Awards with "How Many Trees," 2015.

Karin is an independent design partner based in the Netherlands, where she works on strategic projects with flexible teams, creating custom solutions for clients ranging from universities to corporate multinationals. She has fifteen years of experience running an infographic studio.

Information designer and illustrator of over 25 years experience, based in the UK. Nigel originally trained as a scientific and medical illustrator before ending up at New Scientist as Graphics Editor for many years. He now runs his own information design company.

Neil is a UK based information designer and data professional with 20 years experience working as a data processor and survey programmer in market research roles. After discovering Tableau and never looking back, he now serves as Knowledge Director of the Data Visualization Society. He was a Tableau Zen Master for 2018 and is a Tableau Public Ambassador. Neil frequently blogs about data visualisation.

Anna is the Chief Product Officer at Flourish, a Data Visualization and Storytelling studio based in the UK. Previously Anna was technical director at Oxford University’s Evidence-Based Medicine Data Lab.

Shirley is an award-winning creative focused on data-driven art and visualizations. She has worked with clients such as Google, The Guardian, SFMOMA, and NBC Universal to develop custom, highly interactive data visualizations. Previous Gold winner with "Bussed Out," 2018

Amanda is the Data Visualization Lead at Excella, a technology consulting firm in Washington, where she leads teams to develop dashboards, maps, and graphs to make sense of complex information for clients across sectors. She most recently collaborated with civil society organizations in Uganda to develop a community scorecard dashboard to increase the visibility and coordination of local advocacy efforts. She is a founding board member and Operations Director for the Data Visualization Society, and co-organizer for Data Viz DC.
